I think that airbags should be an optional extra especially in 4wds.
Anyone got a pic of one of these XROX bars?

See Joe.
If joe had an airbag, He would still have his original mouth..
And the crash wasnt even his fault.

i cant remember if it was BMW / Merc - but one of them is contesting their 3 or 4 star crash rating on the basis that their car that got that rating has TONS of crash avoidance gear on board that others with 5 star ratings dont.
basically theyre calling for a second standard based on crash avoidance - so while a car might not be the greatest at plowing into a concrete wall, it might be the best at avoiding hitting it in the first place.
I cant find it on google, but im sure the article is out there somewhere.

I like the XROX. Hate the ARB bar, no offence to those that have one just my opinion. ARB just looks like it came from a bigger 4wd and adapted to fit. Way too boxy for a round edged Jimny.

I dnt mind the ARB bar, but Im tired of the same design, and everyone having the same bar
I like the look of the xrox, if I can Id buy it just to get something different.... and maybe latter design and get some custom tube bars in order to protect the headlights too... or just leave it like that

hmm not to sure about that i really like the look of them my only problem with them is i want a bar that wont stick out to much ..the bar i wanted Is from ZOR zooks of road its a winch bar problem with anything from lowrange off-road atm is its so dam exp to get here ..
eg shockworks rock sliders cost around 235 ... then u can had 650 postage !!! ... like why so much for postage ..hence why i can offored to spend 500$ a slider ... and its baiscly the same story with the bars

personally, i'd go a custom made bar over either xrox or ARB... but those with airbags dont have any other options.
i just cant get my head around the bolting together concept with xrox. so while i agree they look better i've not seen anything to show that they are better - ARB bars have been 'tested' many times and generally come out on top for strength.

Yep. I hope there aren't too many delays for my products thanks to the abnormally high tides around here ATM. Many businesses are closed due to understaffing and just helping others out, so all my suppliers are not contactable. Hopefully some normality resumes for brisbane and surrounding areas next week. We all need to get back to work to keep the economy going where possible.

Sorry bud. I rely on too many other companies (steel suppliers, laser cutters, zinc platers, pwdercoaters, bolt suppliers, packaging, freight etc) so the possible hold ups are almost endless. But in the interest of keeping food on my table, I will endevour to have them ready ASAP.
If X-rox are ready before mine, then so beit.

As much as i like the xrox bar i really don't think is going to happen, well not for a while anyway.
I need a bar by the start of March ready for a 3day fishing trip.
So at this stage i will be getting a ARB bar unless yours is ready which i hope it is.

Have you checked on the lead time for the ARB bars yet? Don't leave it till the last minute. SOmetimes there can be a few months wait.

just look at some of the bars that the japs run tiny little fibre glass thin then a bar underneath off the chassis. i found one that was a rhs tube bar with three mounts on the front for the slide in bow shackels on each side then the middle on was the same as a stanard tow bar hole that had a winch slide in on a plate. Heres one of the fibre glass lips, im tempted to get one for my car then do some personal bar work.

Personally I like the look of both of those zooks. But the bars are too flimsy for australian use me thinks.

X2 on the flimsyn's, but that jimny has some good flex and looks like it has a 4-link set up.
