Whats the improvement in clearance between the diff and the sump when you swap the G13 sump onto the G16A engine in a Sierra - SJ50 in my case.
I've still got the G16 sump, and had just read a previous post about the dodgy workshop in Perth where the guys sump actually was sitting on the diff. So I had a look at mine and I've got about 40mm clearance, which is pretty much the additional clearance I got when the OME went on. The sump has nevertheless been damaged by the diff.
How much improvement do you get by putting the G13 sump on?
G13 Sierra sump has plenty of room with the diff at full compression, more than enough clearance so if you bust a bump stop you still won't smash the sump.

Thanks guys, Yes please, I'll come and grab a G13 sump and pickups, I was meant to come and get a back door/tailgate from you a couple of weeks ago... floods made it a bit difficult to go anywhere. The G16 sump has already copped a decent knock but hasn't ruptured.
