Any one know where i can get a fuel can holder/carrier for the back door of my sierra somethign that will sit next to the spare wheel?

or any other ideas i am going north an have limited space so though it would be good to take my spare fuel tail gate door let me know peeps

I think BCF or camp shops have that kind of stuff. You might find one made from gold at ARB

The Jerry holder doesn't need to be bulletproof, but sadly, neither is the tailgate. Fitting a Jerry can holder to the stock tailgate will break it given time.

i realise that but i dont have much other options verry limited room for anything in the zook the roll cage takes up alot of it

supercheap had the frame, you just need to fab up something to bolt it to your car. was $55 from memory, lockable, adjustable for various sizes etc

3 x 20 ltr jerry cans fit in the passenger footwell and you can get another 2 directly behind the seats.
i can fit 11x 20ltr cans in my lwb and still have room for a 150ltr esky, 40ltr
fridge 200ltr space case and still have room for all the crap ya need for a long fishing/camping trip

I made mine outta 3 mm alloy strips. Came out pretty good and wont rust!

i imported one from lowrange i doubt you will find anything that will
be a straight bolt on in Aussie. be prepared to spend lots if you cant make
something work. also your tailgate will fall off, mine couldn't handle just the tyre.

is it possible to have a jerry can sitting on its long side (not standing like the one on the picture) or fuel might leak? it should only depend on how good the seal is or am i wrong?

couldnt u just beef up the rear tail gate bolts to solve the problem of the tail gate not been able to take it ?

it isnt the bolts that are the issue the problem is that that there is nothing all that solid for the hinges to bolt to.

like i said beef it up add a nice big peace of plate drill 4 holes though the nice beefy peace of plate and place the plate at he back and use the plate as big washer ? to distribute the load ? on the hinges across a bigger surface

i thought about doing that but i didn't want to cut out the inner panel bit so i could access where the hinges are and the plate would still be mounted to the 0.7mm panel .
easier to score a swing away carrier.

2x4mm Gal angle sandwiched together. Im guessing a bit stronger than the 0.8steel outer skin and the extra 0.8mm internal skin suzuki used to strengthen it.
