yeah you probably would only get them with slimline ford bearings not the cheaper holden LM type.
but the slimline are a better brearing anyway

I got a small trailer from the dump for $50, it's been someone's refit project for a while, but he's given it up.

It'ss got holden shit on it, I can get a mob here to order me F100 hubs, but I don,t understand about axles,I know there is square and round,anything else I need to know?

Square and round only changes how you fit springs.
Square axles could be easier to get the springs bolted straight.
Round axles need a flat seat welded on to them.
Heavy duty hubs will only go on hd stub axles.
Light duty hubs only fit light duty stub axles.

Axle tube is thicker and heavier when heavy duty.

This is the limit of my understanding.

There is no heavy duty axle.The difference is in the bearings.The Holden{smaller ?]goes from thread to round . The Ford is stepped up from the thread.The Ford is reputed to be more robust.

The guy had two,so we went out to show me that the patern was right....
some -head had put 'cruiser studs in.

He could change them for me, and I will get them if that guy buys all these good tyres I've got.

I have not tried this but was thinking about how else you coud achieve sierra stud patern, you could make a piece of 120 X 100 X 20mm thick plate machine a 80mm round female centreing flange, drill 4 holes in it, weld it to the end of a square section axle and bolt a front seirra hub on with a blanking plate where the FWH would normally bolt on. That way you use front sierra bearings and all easily replaced sierra bearings and parts. anyone see any probs with this idea ??
