I have a hate of automatic chokes and would like to know if anyone here has don a conversion to the G13A carby? Or if it is even possible.
Cheers - Tony

It would be fairly simple to set up. Just take the carby hat off and sus out the linkage system to the choke flap. Get rid of it and work out a way to add a choke cable to control the flap instead.

you could pull the water control thingy out and adapt a cable to the linkage it runs on easy enough I guess
but given its still operating all teh same choke linkages and the bit you are removing is massivley simple in it operation I fail to see what you are improving, just learn to love the choke, theres nothing wrong with em if you dont fiddle and ruin the settings

Also try the carby section in the FSM, I rebuilt mine using only this and it has pictures of the auto and manual choke versions of the carby. Crap to read as a pdf but print it out and it's easy as!
