I've adjusted the steering lock stops,
to help me resist turning it too far when articulating.
Steering angle of cv is way bigger than that caused by suspension movement

I may do, but only if I have to.
Diff drop only helps with the travel changes angles.
Steering angles will still be greater.
Think I will learn not to boot it when turned hard

Hey chris. I got my GV snorkel and diff drop brackets from GIZ international and they Diff Brackets were only $90AUD plus post. Snorkel was $248. They only rotate the diff down 1 inch but you can clearly see the difference it makes. Well worth doing if you have more than 50mm of lift.

My money tree ran out.
Will have to drive carefully now, and get diff drops sometimes in future.
Got to pay for rear disc conversion and idler arm first :O)

I'd like to see pix of drop brackets.
Are they holding up well.
There is a great deal of them available, but prices are high ish.
Ones I have seen appear to be high quality.
Don't want cheap, I want value for money

I used 3 washers on each bolt.
I used bolts I had in my spare pile, which are a bit too long.
But thats better than too short.
Bolts need to be at least the thickness of the plate longer.

I used high tensile, sounded best to me,
tho I am not an engineer or mechanic.
I think bolts were roughly 30mm long.
Bunnings washers will be fine,
as long as they add to right thickness.

should the washers sit at the same level as the outer ring or should they sit a little higher?

I reckon same level, so its supported evenly.
Higher would still work, but all pressure would be on the washers.
Washers are to stop the mount collapsing if too tight,
and to stop rim of mount digging in to tower.
This is what I understand.

i'd be looking at putting some larger washers top & bottom.... definitely the top.

Has anyone done this with aftermarket tops? Kyb or kelpro or similar and had any issues? This cars a keeper, so figure I may as well put new things in when I’m doing it rather than be a typical zook tightass.
