Hey all,

Im new to the site and this is my first post,

I have just bought a coily zuk and noticed that someone has cut off the original front upper shock mount and lowered it about 2 inches? im sure there is a reason for this? it has king springs that look about 2 inches longer than stock as well.
i can't find any info for this mod so was hoping there would be someone on here with any ideas..

cheers

it would have been done to get some down travel back after fitting the lifted springs.

A mate of mine had a coily for 1month. Another mate Lifted it for him 4" spring but used 2" struts as only 2" are avaliable. Cut the front strut chassis mounts and made them lower.. Was sold locally but could be in qld now.. (both are not suzuki freaks and both don't know much about zooks, or 4wds...)

I have pics on my other pc.

In the past you could get lifted coils but not longer front struts, they usually had to be made or modified. It might be possible that it has lifted coils springs and they just lowered the shock mounts to suit while using the standard struts.
