all things being equal, a longer spring will give more travel, cant remember the technical name for it but if you imagine how a spring arches the arch can get deeper while not contracting at teh open end as much (so you arent maxing out the shackle

you can also move the diff forward to clear bigger tyres, some also say this imroves your weight distribution for better handling and wheelbase for a smoother ride, I am not sure if there is really any real world differences there though cause its not a ferrari

RUF generally also means softer springs which normally give a smoother ride and better uptravel with more lift

and on a totally unrelated matter, do you have email notifications set by any chance? I seem to be getting random errors when posting that our team of expert might need to look at

smoother (softer) ride that sounds good
also the back seams a bit lower than the front

do you know what springs are in it now? most of the time you can get a better ride from what you have with a bit of fiddling

new bushes
pull the springs to bits
clean them up so they are smooth again
chamfer the edges of the leafs so they slide smoother against each other
paint each leaf with killrust
re assemble the leaves
jam some graphite powder between each leave
refit to car with good shocks

just like riding on air :)

Is it best to extend the chassis, move the shackles further back or a third option I am un-aware of?

bump for seen :)

I forgot to add hit the eyes with a die grinder around the top and bottom to clear some room to allow the spring to twist on the bush a bit, not too much though or it will get too wobbly
