hey boys and girls.

i am curious to know if anyone has used the procomp 3inch lift kit from jimny bits. i run procomp on my patrol and i am very happy with it. buttt my patrol is about 2 times the weight of the jim.

so the questions at hand are:

how well does it articulate?

is the ride hight level?

is it soft on and off road?

how does it compare to the td kit?

your time is muchly appreciated.

I can't provide any feed back on the pro comp kit but quite a number of people are running the 80mm tough dog kit you've mentioned. I have recently fitted it to mine and am very happy with it, flexs very well. The ride is a tad harsh but nothing to really worry about. I'm using the bullbar rated front springs as the other springs made my car pitch forward, the back is still slightly higher but once i get a larger spare and a towbar i think it'll be perfect.

hey mate...

I am running 75mm jimnybit coils (i beleive they the procomp one) with lovells shocks and outdoor auto panhard rods.

My setup works well for me.. Not too harsh on road, but couldnt tell you whether it is comparable in harshness to the toughdog as I havent driven one with that kit.

a couple of things...
1- drivers side coil... Where it is meant to seat.. That coil was slightly to tight and wouldnt seat properly..
2- sits higher in the front by 13mm... But will level out once a bar is fitted

These are just 2 things that may not be a problem with the kit you are looking at ... I purchased mine off a guy in aus.. He purchased a 2 inch lift.. And the spring manufacturer marked these as 2 inch instead of 3

That's the tough dog flex in the rear, still had a bit more and it dose still have the OME limiting straps on but has no effect on that corner that's flexing in the rear there.
