I need some stainless flat bar about 1inch by 2mm, I want to try to make a knife

what grade stainless are you after?

440c is a "proper" knife steel grade, if you are after 304 ( common garden variety) or 316 (marine use) I can get you 25 x 3 in what ever length you need

Gypsy my son has a mate who makes custom knives as a hobby, have a look at his website Kingsford Knives, he just lives at Ferny Grove.

i could probably get you some 2mm 304 in whatever size you need but you'd have to come get it from coopers plains
