Hi all,
I selling off all the bits from my 2005 Jimny.-- Everything!--- Well almost everything.
I obtained a written off 2009 jimny and have swapped over all the bits into the 2005 vehicle.( flipped on its roof)
I've completely stripped both and built one out of the two.

So I have lots of 2005 bits and pieces , motor, gear boxes diff, engine wiring harness , dash , controllers trim mirrors etc. etc.
The 2009 body , chasis and some panels , rear door etc are available.
The 2009 chasis seems in excellent condition but the registered number prevents it from being used in a registered vehicle.
So it would make a good basis to build your own unregistered off Road vehicle.
The body has minor dents with a little compression in the Driver rear column.
Again this would be ideal for cutting into your own design.
PM me if you need anything. Location is Oxley Brisbane .

Here are some Pics of the 2009 Body and Chassis which are for sale for OFf road use.
Passenger side door and fender are un marked as well as rear door is in good condition with just a minor dint at very top.
I will post other photos upon request of individual items or different aspects .
Idon't think it would be interesting for youto see a photo of a diff or gear box as you probably know better that me what they look like.

Yes , it is a M13a motor but if you want the sump and pick up you'll have to buy the whole motor as it is going fine.

I'll sell the 2009 body and chassis c/w glass, ( windscreen and nearside rear glass insert) , one good fender, one damaged, no doors or internals for $250 pickup. The chassis appears to be in perfect nick.

Can have a crane available in a couple of weeks when it gets back from wiepa.

Oh! Wonder where that answer went ?

What I wrote before was :
I think the key lock barrel can be re-pinned to suit an existing key.
However, what you want is not available as the vehicle (s) and all the bits have been sold in the last hour or so pending payment. "Lock, stock and Barrel" ( thought you might like that expression).

So thank you to all the people who purchased bits and pieces from it and to the guys who offered to pay for the bits they were interested in and didn't get around to it ... Well! it may be too late.

If this sale falls through then I'll certainly get back to you about the locks but If I can make a suggestion, swap the RHS one for one of the others which I assume are undamaged because I think they may be interchageable. Put the damaged one on a door which you infrequently use a key to open. Preferrabley the passenger side door as you can reach the knob from the drivers seat.
Hope this helps.

Cool.

I had a break in some month ago and they jammed a screw driver in. The lock works, but the inner key surround is pushed in and thge entire barrel is loose in the door. I presume that the inside clip has fallen into the door.

I might do as you suggest and swap it to the passenger door. I assume that they all turn the same way, and not opposite, or is that irrelavant.

I just had a quick look and it might not be possible because the plastic clip which locks in the push /pull rod may end up in the wrong position if you swap a LHS to the RHS.
I could not see if this arm arrangement on the inside of the lock barrel could be rotated to suit installation on the other side or if is press fitted on and can't be changed.

The barell itslef looks as if it can be rotated in the door because the key is double sided and it does not matter if the lock is in with 180 deg rotation.
Its the activator arm fited on the back of teh barrel with the plastic clip that may be the problem and make the locks non interchangeable.
