I found anything more than 8psi in my old 235/75 r15's Bridgestone m/t's the tyre's were crap in the sand...but 8psi or less was perfect for everything....only every did a bead once once....and that was on 6psi (heavy mud work).

if you're in a sand situation where you're getting bogged a lot theres no harm in lowering the pressures wayyyy down... when i had 215/75r15 coopers i ran them at 5psi on sand without issue... i was however very careful in how i steered the zuk to make sure i didnt suck a tyre off the rim... but at pressures that low i could drive on sand without any issues that when i got out my feet sunk to my ankles in it.

there'd be nothing wrong with running 10psi till you get stuck/start to, then drop to 5psi to get out of that section before airing back up to 10psi again once you found firmer ground - so long as you stay on top of how you steer it.

10psi is a pretty good pressure for all round wheelin I reckon.
I did a pretty sketchy section on a cool track on 2.5psi once, went awesome!
