Trying to install the starter motor on my vit in process of engine conversion.
Bit of a silly question but how does the starter motor on a 94 lwb vit engine wire up. Got the negative terminal from battery to round bolt on thingy, does positive go to the spade bit? Theres a black cable with a yellow stripe near the starter motor.. Covered in grime though so unsure if its been used :s could that be an active that goes to the starter motor?

the big fat cable to the negative battery cable bolts to the block, its easy to use a starter mounting bolt for this, it does NOT attach to the starter solenoid AT ALL

the fat positive battery cable DOES attach to the starter motor, on the stud furthest from the block, it will have another stud next to it with a cable attached that goes inside the starter

the black yellow goes on the spade terminal

Pos of battery goes to the starer that should be a 13mm'ish brass nut....

Neg goes to a retaining bolt for the starter, the whole block & G/box is negative....

the black yellow goes to the lil spade terminal on the starter...

Help???

At least you didn't try starting it Last one glued his solenoid contacts together from the dead short it creates

yet another seemingly silly question, the other big black positive cable joined to the starter motor cable, does that simply bolt on the alternator where the bolts are?

Also, the cable coming from the exhaust, the o2 sensor i think? where does that connect?

Theres a braided cable with a rubber boot kind of thing on it coming out of the loom near the Left hand side headlight, anyone know where that goes? can take pics and upload later if it will help?

The donor engine was all stripped and disconnected when i got it so thats the main reason why i dont know half of the homes for these cables.
