Okay. So. I rolled my main Vit last night. Pics are coming soon. The body is pretty well done for, but I've got a fair few bits that I've put onto it over the last few months, as well as the best parts of a donor car that I bought. So the plan is to start again with a new car (probably not a zook, until later) so I need some money to do that. These are the parts off the top of my head: Full 2" Redback exhaust system. Near-new condition. Extractors as well. $300 Auto-locking hubs. Genuine fuel-tank guard. Okay, shoot! The following items are SOLDAlso from the other car is the main reason I bought it. A removable two-piece hard top. It was a horrible maroon colour, and I have stripped it back, repaired the damage present when I received it, primed it and gave it a really nice coat of gloss black enamel. I just finished this last week and didn't even have a chance to fit it. It has tinted windows, the struts on the back need gassing and it doesn't have the key. I have the mounting hardware for both the front and rear pieces, all that it needs is some rubber sikaflexed to the edges to keep the water out. $600 Reconditioned G16a motor. Since removing it from the donor car, I have replaced the front and rear crankshaft seals, fitted a brand new Exedy clutch plate, replaced the input shaft bearing for a slightly wider one, replaced the timing belt tensioner bearing, and gave it a thorough clean. So I've spent a few hundred on it since removing it and before this extra work was done, it was getting twice as much mileage as the above motor. Did 240kms on half a tank on the drive home. New alternator/etc as well. - $600Rolled car: 1990 SWB Manual Vitara $750 for the whole car- G16a engine - weeping some oil from the front crankshaft seal, but pulls strongly. Carby is a bit thirsty. - 5sp gearbox. A little crunchy first-to-second. Transfer case seems fine. - Full power steering setup in good condition. - Air conditioning setup. - 2" Body Lift (Just Cruizin). - LWB Vit springs - Coil Spacers (15mm/30mm) - Front Strut Spacers - Rear Ironman extended shocks - 4 x 235/75/15 Wranglers (hard as a rock, not great nic) on wide offset rims, painted matte black. - Extended rubber flares. - Working power windows/mirrors and controls - Manual locking hubs - 1.75" Exhaust and extractors - Front bar (slightly damaged) and rear guard - 70th Anniversary Heated front seats. (switch in center console)

FYI, you're going to have to put a price on the gear, we don't do EOI's around here.
spewing about your loss
but by the sounds of it there is some good gear, you should be able to get a fair bit of money back if you can hold on long enough & don't accept low ball offers.

I dont think the damage looks that bad... it could have been saved, if you had wanted too... but... you will have no shortage of buyers for the bits off it...

Cheers guys... yeah, it's a bit disappointing to have happened, especially after I put all the money into fixing the top, the new motor, and putting all the suspension gear on it.
But I'll have to work out some rough prices then. Don't want to be breaking any rules.
And as for the damage not looking so bad, the structural parts of the roof and the pillars have splits in them, would require straightening and welding and it's just not worth it. By all means, if someone has a good body, they can just swap it over and it'll be sweet. It still has rego till May 2012 and could be back on the road in a day if you had the help.
I just don't have the time or the man power to get it done in a way that suits everyone involved. I'll have a think about some prices now and edit the OP.

Mate, as long as you put prices on the big ticket items that will be good enough...
No need to list the price for every nut and bolt on the car

Okay, have added some prices to a few bits an pieces. Also added in something that I forgot, the rolled car is a 70th anniversary vit and has heated front seats. The switch is in the console. the seats have some easily repairable tears in them, but they heating system works brilliantly in winter.

Guys if you're interested in parts, make an offer. Prices are just guides at the moment.

That roof is a bargain you said that it needs rubber along the edges to help it seal, my roof doesn't have any seals it uses the ones on the car so yours might be the same
Sorry to hear about your car mate

hey guys, i'm not hugely interested in parting out the wrecked car. I know the damage might not look severe in the pictures, but it's a writeoff. Doors won't close, windscreen broken, roof split, a-pillars are just wrecked, both front quarters ruined, etc. It's not worth fixing the panels. So yeah. I've got interest in the parts of the wreck, but i really you prefer someone to take it all for cheap.

SuziBlu wrote: Can you organise freight for the donk ? Alsoin the pic there is no timing belt cover ?? is there one I could probably organise freight for the motor/box combo. But with the weight, the freight costs would probably be pretty high. I could try and find a pallet for the motor and try that if the asking price was paid. It would also be easier to ship if you were after just the motor and not the box/transfer. There was a timing belt cover, but it had word down and the bolt holes had come apart a bit, so the plan was to use the cover from the engine in the now rolled car. I can try to find the original one, if that will help. larry wrote: ill take the strut spacers please

Noted, but again, I'd much prefer to sell the wreck as one lot and get it out of the yard, it's depressing me
I'll let you know how it goes.

Wow, that's a lot of PM's. The roof is as popular as I was expecting.
I have a lot of interest in specific parts of the rolled car, but still holding out for someone to take the lot away on a trailer. There's easily enough parts to make your money back and then some. Diffs, brakes, wheels, etc. Even after you're done you can scrap it to a metal place for more cash. I just don't have the time.
So I'm noting all the offers, but they will be trumped by people who are willing to take the car on a trailer and get it out of the yard.

If the car doesn't sell as a whole, as I'm very much hoping (as I just don't have the time to strip it down), I'll think of some prices and be sure to get back to you

I'm keen on the car. Wouldn't mind using the motor and a few little bits and pieces. Only downfall is I don't get paid for another 2 weeks (hate waiting for wages) so if u still have it as a whole car I'd be keen

I'll definitely let you know if it doesn't sell before that. Cheers.
The hard top is sold as far as I can tell. It's getting collected in the morning.

Hard top is gone guys, thanks for the interest in it.
Still remaining is the reconditioned motor, the box and transfer, hubs, tank guard, redback exhaust, and the full car wreck.
