Gti = smack a turbo on it, buy a chipped computer run 8-10 pound make around 120kw's easy...
g16b = build custom internals, custom pistons, aftermaket ecu, etc.. make 125kw.
i know what way i would go

btw these are both well proven statements!
I don't think it's that simple just to bolt on a turbo to a GTi engine
To get 120kw safely out of a GTi it will also need a rebuild and you will need to lower the compression if you're going to run a turbo which means an aftermarket ECU...... so you will need new pistons and rings on the GTi which will esentially be the same as the G16B
As someone suggested....i wouldn't bother making a hybrid engine but each to their own
If you need more info about the GTi engines....have a look on rwww.redlinegti.com
