has anyone put a baleno motor with a distributor into a sierra? does a mazda distributor cap and rotor fit the baleno dizzy like it does on a gti motor?

also does an 8valve manifold fit on a 16valve head?

Cheers

I suspect it's going to be pretty close. I have a Baleno distributor at home if you need some measurements. Chinny or someone else running a GTi donk might be able to get the GTi dizzy measurements for you so you can compare them. From that you should be able to determine if the Mazda dizzy cap is going to work on the Baleno.

Nup, won't fit. The Baleno manifold is pretty similar to the Sierra manifold though, so there shouldn't be any drama running that. Do a search for Bluesuzy's threads on here, there is some good info about fitting a Baleno donk into a Sierra. Make particular note of how you're going to hook up the top radiator hose.

Mine was a complete efi baleno 1.6 coil pack motor.

Baleno motor:
The only reason why i went coil packs is because of it doesnt use anymore room then a vitara dizzy.
But water outlet is also a major space issue.

If i couldent cut and weld and machine etc.
I would have gone vit efi 1.6

No cross breeds, no fooking around.

No carb air manifold fits on a efi head.
No carb exhaust manifold fits on a efi head.

3 different animals 8v/16v/g13btwincam heads
