Boggomobile might not join in anywhere else on here, but from my experience, pm the guy or give him a call, ask him a question and he will go out of his way to help.

Selling his stuff on ebay, id do the same. Keeps payments manageable when selling so much. At least the guy is letting you know what's up for sale.

You should show him all the tech articles you've written contributing all the things Old Farts can teach Young Fellas.

I would love to assist you "Young Fella" but you see I only started restoring Suzuki's last year so I am still learning and have a long way to go - However if you would like to know about Jag's (I have rebuilt a couple) or Bedford buses or making other custom stuff then OK except a Suzuki forum may not be the place.

And BTW - No one can teach some young fella's ANYTHING as they know it all anyway :thefinger:

Mate..........There are other people that have done this at some time. Greg is a great guy and is very helpful and informative, If you want to know something just ask him a question and he can chat all day to you about it. He was even nice enough to show me around his collection and let me have a snoop around. I think its a great way to sell stuff and bring it to the attention of others on this forum. Anyway, don't get me wrong, I am not having a go at you. I think it is great when people contribute to this forum. :D

Hi All,

Glad we got that all sorted, thanks to everyone who posted their support, love the positive feedback and happy to accept negative along as it is constructive.

ROAR, yes the transfer that I told you about is the one on ebay, the same one that we discussed on the phone before you posted!

Tony, you have a valid point about the experience and I am guilty of not going through all of the threads on here.

A little more about me if anyone is interested, In the late 80's, and into the 90's I travelled around Australia four wheel driving (and working, had a considerable fuel bill !!!!!!) My idea was to circumnavigate our great country as close to the coast as possible and meet real people to experience different ways of doing things. Some of the best times were beach hopping and camping in the dunes, much preferred that to the sticky black gravel stuff. Tourist destinations are not really my thing, being inovative, practical and adaptable are more me. The only state that I haven't been to and driven in 4WD on is the round cornered triangular like one at the bottom.

My choice of vehicle was my trusty Suzuki LJ81 Stockman ute with a 4K Corolla motor, Celica 5 speed and a modified transfer which gave me a cruising speed of 110 kilometres and believe me there were a lot of kilometres! There were several modifications by me including moving the back wall of the cab back 125mm to fit the Recaro seats and it had an aluminium drop side tray and a custom built 75 litre aluminium tank.

Had LJ50's before that, both soft and hardtops and a lot of Suzukis since, currently is my 1.3L Sierra ute that I purchased about twenty years ago and a Vitara estate!

Regards

Greg

Sounds to me like you have a lot you could tell and as I said earlier here I only started restoring Suzuki's last year so you can teach me a lot - Tony

Hi All,

Dougie, thanks for the input, I always have trouble working out a price and it seems everyone is happy with $15.00 for a lid with catch and hinges!

Mrlj2u, I enjoyed out phone conversation and think that anyone passionate about old Suzukis obviously has taste!

Sogone, havn't had much luck with wheels, the ones that look OK on the outside and spin true are rusty on the inside when I removed the tyres, here is a photo for your perusal:

That's alright Greg. Will get them soda blasted and cleaned up. So long as they are straight. Can you email me the dimensions and weight of the wheels so I can organize a courier. Thanks.
