After three days camping at Charlie Morelands camp grounds I have decided that I do too many weekends working on projects and not enough relaxing.

I am doing a re- think about the projects that I have on hand, if there is anyone that is keen to do an LJ80 project then I am ready to part with some that I will not be getting around to starting. I have a few LJ's and plenty of LJ parts that I would be able to part with for this project depending on what you want to do.

I would also be happy to give tech support and advice if you are new to LJ's or buildups but I am not real keen on doing any of the work (I have too much on my plate).

I can supply a rolling LJ80 soft top, one that is a good restoration project, it WILL have rust in the usual places so don't expect it to be perfect BUT it will not be rusted out and it will be a good base to start with. It will come with wheels but tyres will be just good enough to move it around, LJ's dont have much interior but it will have a set of standard seats on standard mounts that will be in good enough condition to retrim or you could use the standard mounts to fit whatever.

Then depending on what you want to do and what you want to spend I would be able to supply other stuff like a reasonable soft top, all the bar work for the soft top, a roll bar, any other LJ bits and pieces that you may need to complete the project etc, etc.

The one I am considering getting rid of first is something that you could do a couple of weekends work on, weld in a bit of metal here and there, slap some bog into it, and a couple of spray cans of paint, put some tyres on it and go wheel it, BUT it is also actually good enough that you could do a full resto on it if that was your plan.

Depending on what you want with it this rolling LJ project could start around $1000.

PM me if you are interested, this is in Brisbane, I wont send it anywhere, you would need to pick it up from me, if you are not truely keen please don't waste my time, I will send pics to people but I don't want the world seeing what I have stashed around the place.

Still on bar treads. Biggest thing he's done to it, is get a brand new Oil bottle for it to get rid of a leek. Is registered now, and he drives it quite regularly, has even done a couple of longish trips in it :) .

Ok here are a couple of very poor quality photos (Iran out of daylight, will post better pics later) but it will give you an idea, the car is painted in olive drab cammo paint. It has had a front axle upgrade with the 1 Litre CV's Drum brakes and FWH's (now that axles and CV's are converted any sierra disc brakes will bolt straight on) it will come with an 800 engine and a 1 litre engine enough to make one good engine, it has all running gear and will come with a 1 litre gear box (it already had a cross member in it to suit the later 1 litre box) and a good radiator. $1000

I can supply the following for extra:

Full doors - $100 pair
The bar work for LJ soft top - $50
Reasonable soft top - $100
I can supply a fresh rebuilt 1300 and gearbox - $500
I can supply a used 1600 carbie engine - $250
Or if you want to go all out I can supply a 1600 16 valve and 4 speed auto with everything - POA

Well it would be a good project for a man with your skills rusho, there are some nice ones around that started life not even half as good as this one. I could supply a complete rolling WT chassis with 3.9 centres, 1 litre transfer, steering, drive shafts etc if you want to make a WT LJ. If you run standard 16" sierra wheels it will have the the same width as an LJ running 15x7 -13 rims. I can supply a set of those 16" wheels as well.

As promised here are some better photos taken today, I know it is not perfect but it is a lot better than most you see for sale, it is hard to find an LJ80 Stockman like this for the price, great project for someone.

It's a pretty good buy considering what you get and the condition of the LJ :P
