Hi guys Im new to this site and have been searching around alot of forums. I have the chance to buy a complete suzuki Baleno with a shot clutch but has a good j series 1.6 EFI. I can get the whole car for $500 so its to hard to turn up. Ive read that the g16b motor fits but can i still use the j series motor and what do i have to do? My plan was to use the vit conversion kit radiator and fuel sender, pump etc from baleno. Will the motor fit the 1.3 g/box with this conversion kit etc?
Also is the wiring diagrams the same for all 1.6 motors etc? Any help will be great thanks guys

The J motor will be a J18, 1.8L
The G16b's are pretty straight forward.
Kind of a waste of time with the J18, The J's come out bigger as a 2.0 and a 2.4. So if your going to the hassle of fitting a J, You may as well go bigger from the vit and GV, Then you may as well use the J gbox to suit the larger power. A few people have had drama's with a g16b with sierra gbox, so more power might be pushing it too far.
All motors have different wiring diagrams. ,G16b = vit/ balenodizzy, Balenocoilpackonbackofhead,Balenocoilpackontopofhead/x90/GV all different
Then Js will be different also
There are so many combo's.
Hope this helped..abit..

My plan was to use the vit conversion kit Won't fit. The G block and J block have different bellhousing patterns. radiator and fuel sender, pump etc from baleno. Radiator probably won't fit, and you will have to modify your tank, and the pump assembly to fit these parts. Will the motor fit the 1.3 g/box with this conversion kit etc? No. The sierra box would have a snowballs chance in hell of lasting more than a few days with a J motor infront of it.
Also is the wiring diagrams the same for all 1.6 motors etc? No. Each model is different.
Any help will be great thanks guys
