I've just swapped out the engine (g13ba) in my maruti after some issues, and put in the G13BA from my old sierra. all in, wired up, used inlet manifold off the engine that came out of the ute because the carby on that is a better one... all in, wires in place, it starts and idles beautifully, but as soon as i put the foot on the accelerator it backfires enough to see a little flame spit out the top of the carby (havent put air filter back on yet). it's got me stumped because it idles perfect...
This engine hasnt been run for about 4 months, but did run on its last trip... and i need this running ASAP, and dont know where to look. cap, leads, rotor button are all less than 5000km old and also worked fine... any suggestions?

Double check the leads are on right. Check the timing at the flywheel.
