I have a coolant leak on the back of the head as far as i can see, on the exhaust side. its been there since i bought it but has recently got a little worse.
Coolant is dripping down the block and onto the bell housing.
Does this mean new engine or head gasket maybe? should i try some chemiweld or similar

I would check that it isnt a heater hose squirting it over there

Give it a clean and let it run up to temp to build some pressure and have a good look around with a mirror

maybe all the coolant has gone? if its still got coolant then there is no pressure to push it out. when its warm it will push it out again.

it used a small amount of water this morning then i topped it up before i came home. checked when i got home, i cant see any more coolant on the bell housing, the rad hoses definately had pressure in them and after letting it cool the water level has not dropped
