4.9s are transfer gears
here is where you get them from http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/
There is no 'good' or 'better' diff or transfer gears. it all depends on tyre size, driving technique and the terrain you drive.

ok all i want to be able to do is use it as my every day driver and have it be able to go on the hwy great at 110 and not have to lose power on hills and be able to not be at a high rev range at that speed
id like ti to be capable to go off road but nothing to serious just to learn as i have a friend of mine who is going to be building me a extreme sierra off road car while im learning in this one
