hi all, i have a 92 soft top sierra, with 31" tiers and 2" extended front shackles, when driving on the road it attends to wonder all over the road and has a mind off it own, i have never driven a sierra before so i dont know what they drive like really. and i was just wondering if my steering box could need replacing? Cheers Jarrad.

The shackles would be changing your castor which affects the cars handling, your steering box may have some play, TRE's may be gone, bushes may be flogged, rag joint may be flogged.
With all good stuff, they drive well for a go kart on leaf springs

mine is doing the same...get under the car,get someone to turn the steering back and fourth and see if the bottom bearing in the steering box is sloppy like mine.probably better to take to front end mob to have quick look, they would soon tell you

There is something wrong, when they are right you can drive with one finger on the wheel at speed even on poor roads. Usually it is a combination of factors like the list already mentioned. Add to that list three, swivell hub bearings, wheelbearings and steering ball joints.
