I dunno how similar they are- but I have some old jeep hood catches that are spare. They need a bit of cleaning up and painting. If they will work for you they are a freebee, just gathering dust/rust here. If original zook spring catches are no longer available- brand new "old style" jeep catches are still around and pretty cheap from the USA if you prefer new-in-box-and-shiney catches.
where abouts in W.A. are you?

Hi Stephen,
I am in Bullsbrook - but work in Hillarys and frequently head into the CBD
Sounds like the Jeep ones should do the trick or could be made to fit
If you really don't want/need them I will grab them off you
Cheers

no worries, I will dig them out and dust them off, I replaced these with a new set from the USA for about $5.00 a piece!
These should get you out of trouble for a while, sling me a P.M. with your phone number and I will call you to sort out pick up/drop off. I am in Marangaroo- but I drive through Bully pretty regular in the company truck- if timing works out, I can chuck them out the window as I drive past.

I have some brand new genuine suzuki ones but I paid $75 each for them. So I doubt you would want them for your car at $150 + postage. Go to any rubber shop and get some cheapo ones.

no worries- I just got back from another episode of bumping into wildlife in the northwest, it seems you had deleted 3 messages you sent me, before one worked.
I will give you a call as soon as I have had a snooze- its been a long couple of days!

Good to hear- I wasnt too sure how good the catches were.
Like I mentioned- if they dont work- or cark it, all jeep hood catches from MB and GPW (WW2 jeeps), and all CJ model jeeps and thier military versions shared the same catches.
At around US$5 each they are a bit better priced than Aussie $75 for zook catches!
