The car is an 06' manual jimny
I've been enjoying my jimny for the past 2 years and I am over going down gears to get up hills when towing my little camper trailer, it's just going to get worse because I am going to put a lift, bigger tyres and a bullbar on it. I'm happy with the gearing as it is just going to be a highway and beach car.

I'm looking at doing what my mate has done which is 215 75 15 mud tyres and an arb bar, and just a small lift not sure yet, I've been in his but his is an 05' and the gearing is fine just underpowered.
So mine isn't underpowered I want to do the m15a conversion. I have read this thread viewtopic.php?f=17&t=30308 and I know most of what I need to do, but I just have a few questions.

First question is do I have to use the 1.5 injectors?
Q2 do I need to use the 1.3 coil pack injection?
Q3 for mod Plating should I not worry about it, as it looks the same, does the motor need to be mod plated?
Q4 Do I need to use all of the 1.3 sensors?

If some one could please answer my questions that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Use the m15 injectors. I have just done a m18 conversion and in the end really the only difference in the whole car is the injectors and bore and stroke of the car.

You can use your M13 coil packs. You can use any M series Coil pack. Like I said in the guide, a virtually bare donor engine will do the conversion, you just need those injectors.

Just some additional information - Another forum member has actually got their M18 engine working with the M18 Throttle body, when I tried it mine was hunting badly - but apparantly I could have had a faulty Idle control valve on the M18 Throttle body. I'll replace and try it again.

But my advice is - you can use the M13 throttle body no worries, but if you do happen to have the M15 throttle body it might be worth trying it out to see if it idles right! It's like a 5 minute job to swap throttle bodies, so don't panic if the M15 throttle body doesn't run right, just stick the M13 one on and alls good again.

All the best!

Sukboy - which throttle body are you running?

Yeah me too. But my idle rpm is the same as before the conversion. Did you get a chance to try the M18 throttle body?
