I have a SJ40 I have just rebuilt from the ground up - it has a spring lift of 2" - an engine upgrade from 1lt Suzuki to a 1.3lt Suzuki and Vitara seats and retractable seatbelts fitted and the Blue Slip guy says I have to get the seats - belts - engine engineered and that will require a front brake upgrade from drum to disk so I just do not see how yours can have a fair dinkum NSW plate/cert let alone a Qld one.
And I live WAY out West where things are a little looser as far as rego is concerned.
Could you please PM me the contact details of the guy you used.
Tony

i cant remember who did it it was about 4 years ago. but when i get home il look at the mod plate for any clues and see if i can dig up some paperwork. i think the fact that i had the engineers cert made him quite leniant about it all. if i straight up said look what ive built can you blue plate it pretty sure id have alot more trouble. cheers

I rather chew sheps arsehole than even come within twenty feet of this nugget. Is that blue plate from QLD??? Does it say QLD anywhere on it. Might be alright in NSW cause they are a bit more relaxed down there, but in qld no chance in hell ever of having that thing insured, registered whatevered legally. Or is the the blue plate you speak of that is lying in the back. Did you get this blue plate from the blue oyster bar too????

Tony is this the answer to everyone's queensland rego questions? says right there in the middle where is was engineered, in nsw. and that looks like a name and signature in the top right. or have i missed something. it is late.... good luck offloading it stephennnnnnnn, may end up being a little less than what your asking for, you might need to divide that number a couple of times... and then again once more.

Your still not answering the questions. Does the mod plate have Queensland on it? Who did the inspection?

could ring qld transport and quote chassis number SJ40111310 engine number vh126703 and ask them about it. Also now if people search the chassis number on the net then this post will come up helping them decide.......

I just can see that you have all the paper work and blue plates for this car but if you knew half of what most of the people commenting in this post are saying you would realise that there is no way this could be a legit mod plated car in Qld there are 2 main things i have noticed one is the spoa conversion(clearly stated in Qld mod guide lines that it is not allowed), another is that the maximum body lift allowed is 2" not 4" like stated and this is only the tip of the iceberg let alone going into the engine conversion with no brake up grade etc. You are taking everyones comments as a personal attack but it more like we don't want some noob coming on here and buying this shit tin and having headaches with rego etc.etc. etc. because i know i joined this site 2 months before i even owned my zook just to gather info and look for cars for sale and would hate to see that happen to any one buying a car.

honks wrote: You are taking everyones comments as a personal attack but it more like we don't want some noob coming on here and buying this shit tin This appears exactly what he is trying to do. If you have had the car for four years why have you never come on the site before? No build thread, no inter reaction with auszookers. But then you expect to join up and palm the death trap off to a member for a ridiculous price. The AZ community don't like that kind of shenanigans!

Could be a much better option.

i didnt say it would be easy to gero hence why no RWC. i know the rules . even reset springs are illegal. but there might be someone out there who wants a 3.8 sierra. and if they did well here it is!
plus not evryone lives in qld, and im pretty sure its legal in nsw with the engineers cert.
i take things personally when you're a dick for no reason. and your comments contribution is absolutely nil.
