The guy here would NOT give it even a blue slip even with the plate as anything can be done to the car after it has been engineered - with out a blue slip NO rego in NSW

yeah, I'd be that ashamed of selling it under my regular username that I would have started a new one just to sell it too.

In NSW the engine without disk brakes for sure - I know you say it has cert and a plate but unless you can find a VERY shonky tester/engineer it will NOT PASS FOR REGO HERE

it got engineered back in a time when in NSW you could push ANYTHING through. hell Siggi got 44's approved on a 80 series landcruiser with very little in the way of brake upgrades from memory.

just goes to show how dodgy them NSW pricks are :thefinger:

On those wheels the inspector would not have been able to see high enough to inspect the rest of the car so just paced it so they could get it out of the place before it cracked the floor HeHe

From what actually happens on the roads with engineering certificates in NSW, you may as well save your money and write your own up on toilet paper, as the cops just wipe their arse with it and send you to the pits to bend you over and wipe your arse with the other side.

same as SA, hence why no one bothers with engineering... just get good at making it stock enough to clear inspection again.

Yeah that's it. People used to talk about getting this and that engineered, now they're talking about what tows the best and "any car trailers for sale?"

The mod plates/engineers certificate aren't the issue here, neither are "laws are changing all the time ".... 3.8 litres in a SOA SWB with drum brakes on 33's is dangerous no matter what planet you come from....

As i said before ANY car is dangerous in the wrong hands. Its all about knowing your vehicle and driving to that. Its 99% operator 1% vehicle.

Not when you have a greatly reduced braking distance caused by extra inertia of a big lump of motor, all the other barwork and crap you've chucked on and the greater forces from the extra rolling diameter of 33's. It wouldn't pass any honest engineers report anywhere. When you have doubled the effective stopping distance from factory or worse even Safey McSafesafe would have a hard time driving without risk.
