So I have noticed the revs fall when I press my foot on the brake and upon further investigation (pumping the brake) the engine dies down and stalls out comparitive to how much i pump the brake.

I assume this is a problem between the brake booster and the vaccum in the engine but this is where it gets beyond me.

Probably a split diaphragm in the booster.
Replace it or have it rebuilt.

When I installed my G16a I had the same problem in my sierra. Quite annoying in a rally when you jump on the brakes and the cars stalls . To fix it I replaced all of the vacuum hoses on the carby. It fixed my problem and is cheaper than the booster idea but basically you have a vacuum leak somewhere and it is stalling the car as a result.

You may have split a hose during body lift.

There is a valve in the booster, or in the line, that controls the vacuum.
Was the problem with my Vit, but it had different symptoms.

Thanks chris, i will have to have a check of the hose tomorrow but I still have to get that extra filter before the carby like you suggested.
I think the fact my carby is piss-weak is part of any problem with my car.
