Like I told you, not taking anymore ads, cause I am sick of the grief it causes. I am sick of promises of great things and nothing happens I am sick of people jumping up and down about less than stellar service cause they think they are special cause they are a user on here Its not worth it, just another thing I cop grief over with no bonus to me and no bonus to the users

BlueSuzy wrote: tcor is better Assuming you meant tsor that may be the case but it appears Pete may have out grown his backyard beginnings and may be struggling to keep up with the demand for his stuff. It would be a shame to tarnish his good reputation for the sake of some pride so perhaps he should fill the orders he's got then take a break for 12 months or so till he gets back on his feet, so to speak. Although I have feeling Royce is leaning more towards canning the lot.

royce wrote: Like I told you, not taking anymore ads, cause I am sick of the grief it causes. I don't know of the behind the scenes, but yes putting up any more ads this place would soon resemble 4wdA. I think adding to the Business Directory is a good idea. Perhaps 6mth "rego" fee's should apply
I am sick of promises of great things and nothing happens I think AZ Contributing Members should get up to 10% discount, or quarterly sale's / speshial deals
I am sick of people jumping up and down about less than stellar service cause they think they are special cause they are a user on here I understand this point, especially people posting up threads on it. A disclaimer should be added that this forum is just a link to the manufacturer/suplier, any complaints are to be directed to them. Any threads posted up complaining about X company is to be deleted
Its not worth it, just another thing I cop grief over with no bonus to me and no bonus to the users Perhaps this can change with a fee structure and speshial offers to customer's. That way you win, we win and they win. It'll probably be a lot of bullshit involved in doing the above, but it's do-able.

It doesn't matter what members of AZ want, it all comes back to how much effort Steve and Royce want to stick into something that is at best just a hobby.

My eyes and or brain just don't see the adverts. So doesn't bother me any. But if I want something, I do check out the business directory.

I fully understand regarding banner advertising, however I did send a couple of PM's over the last few months enquiring about the business directory. We'd be more than happy with just being able to post in there?
We sent out an email to a load of our Aus customers asking for any help/info as to where they think would be a suitable place for us to advertise is Aus, and 9/10 people had AZ at the top of the list. If it's just a straight "NO ADVERTISING ANYWHERE" then just say and we'll not ask again.
Many thanks Rob Butler O.R.A

Royce thats a pretty poor attitude. As this is meant to be a public forum, for discussion between users of it, your personal feelings really should not weigh in against benefits for the users. Set some basic, but not ridiculous, ground rules and if they do not comnply then no second chances. Add disclaimers where necessary. For one, I'd like to see some 'controlled' advertising from suppliers of gear that we can use. And obviously discounts and special offers to forum members shouldn't be discouraged

I see the current problem as being 2/4 of the advertisers that seem to be causing grief and it comes back to the forum as they are advertising here.

No public vote comes into it. Don't like the rules, you are free to leave.

I ignore the adds... adds really annoy me! BUT I do go to the business section if I am looking for parts. Wouldn't do any harm charging a annual fee for business list there would it? Less work for the admin, annual income to help with the site and the users get a local list of people who support our cars with attractive discounts/specials.

My only two cents is, other then Dank & KPD the discounts offered to forum members are not clearly specified. Even though the rules clearly state that they need to provide some sort of benefit for users.

Do you go to woolworths and tell them their business plan is wrong? Royce can do what ever the fuck he wants and we are just guests on his forum.
