i've read that there are 3 different sierra flywheels but did they use different ones for different models or did they just put what ever they had laying around at the suzuki factory in any model?

well I enquired about a clutch at my local parts shop recently and was advised they have two differant types of clutches in them, and with just about everything else I've bought for it, there seem to be two differant types of part for it, so it would'nt suprise me. Don't know about 3 differant types of flywheel, but I reckon the 1298cc motor and the 1324cc motor would probably have differant flywheels.

There's a flat type and a recess stepped type flywheel. My WT has the stepped type, not sure which suits which model though. Being Suzuki there will be a mess of both in the change over years.

i think the main difference is the gearbox input spline. all the 1.3's that i have seen
have the stepped flywheel and the larger spline count. all pre 90's though.

i had a 1298 and a 1324 flywheel's side by side a few weeks ago and could see no difference.
