What's a good auto cooler to go with a 3sp auto? I'm putting it in a crawler build so won't be doing high speeds to get alot of airflow etc

Any info would be great

Get the biggest one you can afford/fit in the hole

Biggest you can fit, and best quality one that you can afford.
Some come as a package with a shroud and fan included.

I don't recommend the tie cables through radiator type mounting,
mine was and it wore a hole in the radiator.

In my opinion "stacked plate" type coolers are better than fin/tube type, more robust.

Jase has the LROR radiator style cooler on the T700 mounted in the rear with a 10" thermo. No problems with it.

As per christover. If it's for crawling, definiftely consider a cooler with its own fan and fan switch. Just because the engine is cool mightn't mean the auto is cool so you can't trust the engine fan to entirely look after the needs of the auto.

Definitely add a gauge though so you can check the effectiveness of your cooler. A water temp gauge is fine- They cover the right range.

I'll admit/add I'm running the PWR cooler on my AW-4 sandwiched against the radiator and I have no additional fan/fan switching to assist in cooling the auto, and mine is fine, but I'm running very deep low range gears and AW-4's don't seem to run hot. I also rarely "crawl" in the rock crawling sense of the word for very long.

My auto gets hotter road driving than it does off road.
Mainly when torque converter is slipping.
So correct gearing will go well to help keep the auto cool.

I have an extra fan on my auto cooler, but it hasn't been needed yet.

Cool, thanks for the advice guys, if never ran an auto befor so don't have much of an idea about cooling etc
