triple check both the crown wheel & pinion, there is a tooth count listed in this thread but of course it doesn't have 4.8:1 listed.

I am a fool! I pulled everything appart cleaned off all the Aluminum metal filings and there are 39 teeth on the crown and 8 oth the pinion part, they are very damaged so I guess thats how three people miss counted. Thanks for the help.

4.8's & i sold the set out of the blagon but at least you're on the right track.

this would also put the speedo WAY out on standard tyres & massively out on big tyres making it easy to pick if it was the case. :wink:

Yeah its all good, I pulled the diff out and its clear that I need an entire new one. Everything is ruined from the crown wheel, housing on both sides, pinion, all gears are munched. I have found a whole diff with 4.8's for $360 shipped over which seems like a very easy fix.
Although Ive been with out a car for so long im not sue what I will do with it ha ha ha
