Hey LJ guru's.
The steering linkage at the front of the chassis rails (like a box/direction changer) is there any options out there to replace the bush, or machine two bearings to fit in there? Mine makes a horrid noise when turning at any time, spray crc on it and it is fine......
Cheers, Superduki.

Do you have an LJ80 or an LJ80 Stockman? The LJ50/LJ80 type has a solid rubber bush with an inner and outer steel sleeve. These are not rebuildable, and new bushes are no longer available. The Stockman type has upper and lower bushes with seals and IS rebuildable with parts still available. If you have the early type, your only option is to find a 2nd hand replacement, or upgrade to the later type.

I think I have an 80 stockman. My old man had a 50 in the early 80's and told me he built a roller bearing setup, like tans I stated. I might look into the effort involved and make a build thread then in the fab section? Cheers, superduki
