IMO Forget 3" struts.

Get some Ironman or Dobinson ones (the longest travel ones AFAIK), and make a spacer up for the top.

If you search I posted a thread on here a while back about the 3" 'extreme' struts from FTS versus an Ironman strut and the Ironman one had significantly more travel.

The problem with 3" of lift on the front of an SE series Vit is if you still use standard lower arms you'll need more camber correction than you can get with just 1 bolt in each strut.

that are the ones Reubs is talking about... they offer no more travel than OME, Dobinson, Ironman.

I'll give you a pair for free if you pay postage. Yes really - free plus post!

One is bent - probably as a result of the built-in bumpstop doing its job and the slotted camber adjustment holes are flogged out. Also the shafts are a small diameter compared to other brands and they have the same travel as standard ones despite a ridiculous extended height. Nothing 'extreme' about them except maybe the 'extreme' orange paint they have!
