I pinched my sciatica nerve, common with me, but a bit worse than normal, probably from painting into tricky corners, getting in and out, up and down too much.. So I had to slow down and pace myself, and get fit for the weekend.. Pix and stuff had to go on the back burner, only did the essentials for off roading.. Lost brakes on the car, so that's tomorrows job, should be ready for Wonnangatta

Felt good to get it out of the garage and onto some dirt. It feels ready for the trip this weekend. Vents all stayed shut, even on severe bumps, which is a relief. Had to fix the Vits brakes before I could go out playing. Only minor stuff, like a mattress, curtains, a porch light and rear power out let to go, but these things can be done slowly on days I get bored

You need a pair of matching wheels for the trailer. Rig looks good on the dirt.

I have some possible alloys, but in a different style, coming next year. See how I go. There was some the same for sale, but he wouldn't post. It will happen one day.

Thanks everyone for your support and kind words. AZ, Vic Zook Club, Myswag, family and friends all assisted in many ways. Everything I do is a group effort. Thanks all

Bugger, Bugger Bum Nuts Not quite the planned trip, but the camper towed brilliantly on highway and high country dirt, but never got to off roading. Pretty sure it was an axle, diff or similar that went bang. Nursed it back to Stratford on front wheel drive, then RACV TOTAL CARE to the rescue.

Yes, I only break things well. A mates bringing a spare round some time in the near future. Going to try lockless on the rear, as I think the slack in locker was shock loading the diff. It has been in there 6 or 7 years though, so not done too bad. I may find a front locker is enough, will see how we go.

Been following this from the start, sorry to see it end this way, Chris.... Do you think the extra load from the trailer was the doing?

I suspect the slack in the auto locker has been shock loading the diff for too long. I'm sure trailer added to it, but it only weighs the same as 2 or 3 passengers. Am going to try open rear for a while, till I can decide if I need the rear locked. PS diff could be 20 years old, too.

Yeah unlucky, I did mine exactly the same. Not sure what caused it, but mine was welded.

Back to camper jobs at last. Diffs done, auto cooler problem sorted. Had some family stuff to do. Had a spare day today, so I sorted better travel locks. They are locks for old style houses sash windows. Pulls in snugly, easy to reach, and only $4.something each. Off to buy some sticky backed foam draught stopper now. Then rear door is finished, we think

Recycled the annexe from my old camper set up. At first I thought it was going to be too wide, but by fitting it snug to one side, it gave me a nice door on the other side. Think I have designed it to go up easily with one person. But first erection on a windy day with onlookers may be harder.

Works well. I was wondering what your plans were for cover outside the camper.

Won't be used very often, just when staying in one spot a while. But it don't use up much space when put away. It will go in the front section of the under bed storage.
