No i didnt drive. I was a last minute ring-in as a navi.

At tough truck its just too big of a vehicle. It has limited front steering and is heavily reliant on the rear steer. I steered the vehicle for points and I think it showed with us getting 17th. Its a good placing when your up against vehicles of such a high quality.

Where the proclaimer shines is at a social where you have all the time in the world and there are no buntings. It is a very capable rig in its own right. It can drive some crazy stuff with all the gadgets and wheel travel.

My buggy would drive circles around it at TT. At a social drive he would show me up in a few places no worries.

All the FB garbage is the owner venting over the buggies namely Pips if I had to guess. I kind of agree. The side and front profile is almost non existant. The configuration is almost unreconizable. BUT what a cool rig it is. If it meets the criteria then my hat is off to him. I can't see anyone coming close to hime for years to come.

That green hornet's front end is quite unique. Is there a reason for all of the triangulation to be going from wide on the axle to narrow at the chassis for the front? The rear is a fairly typically set up but the front doesn't seem to have a full 40 degrees triangulation that is claimed necessary to locate the axle?

The lowers are triangulated and the uppers are barely triangulated. Its just a reverse setup.
There wasnt a lot of room around the motor so i just went the other way. Everything is as triangulated as physically possible.

Yeah, its a chromoly housing. They are 80 series knuckles.

How narrow and short is it?

Top four all ran portals. Top two both ran hydraulics. Top five ran rear steer and top four all wearing either 42" or 43" tyres. Looking at the top end of the winners Kerrod was the first of the smaller cars out there.

He is 106 long I believe. And I would say looking at it under 2 m wide. I think 6 in the country is pretty close to winning.

Hmmm it has somewhat made me think more to the value of rear steer. Mick,dan and anyone else that actually has real experience with it do you see many cons to it?

Thanks guys, my zooks 102" wheel base and 1970 wide. Welded front and rear diffs and manual. I think the next manual car was 23rd place. I can't take all the credit, I have an awsome navi Craig Buse who worked his ass off all weekend.

thinks like what diffs, gearing, did he run extra weight in the tires.

any thing he could have improoved on the car while still staying simple.
