what needs to be done to a sierra trans case so that it fits into a jimny.
is there a gearing advantage with a stock box?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the Jimny Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is on the output of the transfer so the first thing you'd have to do is fit one to a Sierra transfer..
The thread I read I think they used a timing belt pulley machined thinner but I can't remember where it was let alone find it... Probably on the "Other" site.

thanks jas. looks like it is a bit more involved then i first thought
does anyone know if there are any realistic options for better gearing.
he has 235/75/15"s and is having a lot of problems in the bottomless sand that we have here.

when i get a chance tonight i will post some cad pics of the sensor and tailshaft mod which at the end of the day should only cost you the price of the alloy spacer (its that simple its not funny)

dosent matter you can get a wider range of after market gears for the leafy
