I am having an issue with my combination switch and they seems as rear as unicorn poo to find.
The issues are: 1) the hazard light switch seems to no longer spring in and out, it just makes contact over and over quite quickly or has no contact. 2) due to the above (I think) the headlights don't work( high beam is fine) also the interior dash and brake lights (with pedal not depressed). 3) indicators don't work unless the hazard is in contact 4) the piece of plastic to hold this light stalk in either high beam or low beam.
Are these things all linked?
Where do I start, the lights etc worked even when the stalk didn't hold in either, it seems kind this hazards are the common denominator.
Anyone got any ideas or a combo switch to sell me?
Thanks mate, just seems like alot of money for such a part.
The bulbs must be ok as all works when the hazards are connected, they just done work when the hazards are not. Seems they are all dependant on the circuit for the hazards. Is It all dependant on the stalk of the hazards being connected. That's the part that is playing up.
I got most of it working again, cleaned up the connection points and blocked out the plastic moving bits to make better contact. Still only have one indicator though.
Does anyone know if the hazard switch on any other zook is simular? this is the part that is causing issues. Seems I have lost a piece that keeps the switch pressed to the contacts.
if they are simular I could probably make it work, also I seem to have no contacts for the windscreen wipers so I could steal them out of another one.
If they use simular connectors can I get any old zook combo and transplant some parts, still using the original SJ combo with the contacts and switch from something else?
If so where do you recommend to get a couple of combos for a reasonable price I can mess about with.
