a kit has come up for sale using an AMR500 supercharger, all of which was previously installed on a jimny G13B (includes all the pipe work, intercooler, computer etc).
it's over a grand though & really don't know if it's worth that much or if the power increase would be all that decent so would like your thoughts or preferably your experiences.
still been looking for a G16B baleno engine at the right price, but that also works out to just over a grand & could potentially see me running an engine with higher ks than i have now, so weighing my options.
thanks.

Simon did it to his sierra Tintop (Jimny g13bb + amr 300?500?) then drove it all over aust from Tassie. Went we'll but got hot on hills. Maybe send Superduki a pm and ask him about it.

AMR300 and I don't remember him ever mentioning it getting hot? It was fairly booty fab, rising rate regulator etc. Was actually built buy brenno. When Simon had the head off it the bores were pretty average from pre detonation

^^^ yep, it was a simple set up & it actually hooked along alright chasing my silver shorty when i caught up with him in SA... most sierra's are slow. have a search for superduki's & brenno's posts... there should a heap of pics/info floating around.

it looks like a very good kit. He didn't sell it, but I think it is good value. I would prefer it over a g16b conversion.

ARGH !!! i was literally going to go & buy it, just didn't know enough about it so turned here lol.
he posted it on gumtree a good week before ebay & i spoke to him about it, i sat on the fence & then posted here just to see, but didn't want to spend a grand on something that may turn out to be a big mistake.
oh well, someone out there will get some enjoyment from it (he sold it via gumtree), i'll just go with the baleno conversion, the only engine i've got looking any good atm is $550 with 155,000ks on the clock. it's not ideal, but the pickings are so slim =(

That did look like quite a good kit and well thought through. It'd still give me the heebyjeebies though on a daily- doesn't seem to be doing any timing control

when we go away we go a fair way from home & i'd hate to be worrying about reliability. main reason i think the G16B is the way to go, although the supercharger would've no doubt been fun.
