Hey all, i'm looking to replace the clutch on my 04 jimny, just wondeering if there is a heavy duty option? any advice would be great!

nothing wrong with a std 1, after market that is.

I put a heavy clutch in my Gv & regretted it from 1st take off, some with my old zook, if you want a GOOD H/duty you need to get it made.

Are you getting 1 made?? NPC, Nick`s Performance Clutches.
Std any clutch & brake joint, ripco, superdump, as long as you name what you want, don`t go for the cheapest option!!!!!

I got a Exedy HD clutch put in my 99 Jim and it's tops mate.
It's fantastic to have some bite in a clutch, to me the standard was to soft.
It cost me $315 (part no. R5217NHD) plus also I got a new spigot bearing while I was at it(part no. 6002-2RS) and thats only about 5 bucks.

My Vitara heavy duty exedy is sitting on the shelf in my garage after replacing the clutch cable every month, Daikin say there is nothing wrong with it!!!!!

what youll find is the heaviness when trying to slip it a bit offroad will annoy the living shit out of you, not like any suzuki has too much power or weight for the size of the clutch

yeah i suppose with only 60kw to play with a standard spec clutch would be plenty!

Excedy Sport Tough clutch`s are no good for 4by`s. that`s what i`ve found out after pulling my g/box out to replace yet another kit that Excedy say thay can`t fault, the last 1 didn`t even do 1000km before the pressure plate started to give up it`s day job,(it shuddered from 1st release, & I did machine the flywheel!) & this with no wheeling!!!!
woody1,if you are having luck with them than good, glad that your having a "hit". Iv`e spent to much time replacing mine to recommend them to a golf cart.

I just had mine replaced with a standard after-market item. It is a bit soft in the way it feels but I've gotten used to it. As far as bite, it has plenty. I've managed to tow our trailer in sand with the old, rather worn clutch for 2-3 years so standard should be fine.

hey i have had a XTREME heavy duty clutch in mine for aroung 2 years now and it is going as if it is brand new

Do you find the pedal much heavier mate? or is it still pretty easy to drive? (the Mrs drives it too)
