Hi guys ive put a new clutch plate, new throw out bearing, new pressure plate. Now the cars all back togther. I had to adjust the clutch to get it to work as there was too much pedal play and it wouldnt let me select gears.

Anyways now when the pedal is pressed down its quite. when the cars in neutral and the clutch is out i hear a whining sound like the sound of a buggered thrust bearing.

Have i adjusted something wrong......??

There should be a little bit of play in the clutch pedal before the clutch load comes on. This means that the thrust bearing is pulling back free from the pressure plate levers when the clutch is out. You may have adjusted the play out so the clutch force comes on from the beginning of the stroke which means the thrust bearing is always in contact with the levers and spinning.

Of course if there is too much play then you won't get enough stroke to disengage the clutch.

Failing that, what you are hearing is input shaft bearings. You can tell the difference though. In neutral and stopped, when you put your foot on the clutch does the sound die off or stop immediately?
If the sound stops immediately or changes it will be thrust bearing
If it dies out over a second or two then it is gearbox input shaft bearings
