I'm chasing someone local who can reinforce the chassis rails for a bullbar and cut the stock outriggers off so I am able to run some bigger tyres (30")
May also need to reinforce the mounting tabs on the bullbar as I'm not too certain about the strength of the originals.
I'm located in the Ipswich area, so someone local would be fantastic.
Name your price and when you can do it.
Cheers!

got access to a grinder? snip those outriggers off To strengthen your bar Run some crush tubes between the chassis bolts where the bullbar mounts and you should be sweet.
Do you have photos of your bar you want to re-inforce?

Do you have photos of your bar you want to re-inforce? Cheers 4x4zook, I will be cutting the outriggers off this afternoon after work. I just know I'm not the neatest with that kind of stuff unfortunately, give me a wrench and I'll pull anything apart but ask me to fabricate something, it just doesn't work haha. I've been looking at a few threads and that's all it seems to be with crush tubes so I may get the local shop to weld those in for me. I'll have to grab some photos of the mounting points on the bar this afternoon and see if anyone has better ideas then me I'll update this again this afternoon

Oh, they don't need to be welded? I thought that was what gave the strength as it is pulling on a larger surface area? Or am I mis understanding how they work?
Hmm, I have a bit of pvc out the back, that would work.. Right? Haha, I kid.
But great to see all these options are out there for folk like us haha.
Thanks heaps Ack!

The arb mounts still won't cope with much it is best to start from scratch and make good mounts.

Sorry Shep, but I don't have an ARB bar, I have a custom bar. It currently mounts to the inside side of each chassis rail. I plan on getting a couple more welded on so it mounts from both sides of the rail.

It's the chassis that is weak. Will try and find a post I did a while ago showing how to make very strong ones
