Hi All,
I am looking for some advice on converting a Suzuki F8b Hatch into a 12v turbo using the original block/short motor from the hatch and a F5a or F6a 12v head complete with inlet and exhaust manifolds etc e.g. short block from hatch using all other parts from the donor F5a/F6a engine.
I plan to run an aftermarket Ecu with a custom wiring harness and the questions I have with this conversion are as follows:
- Are the F5a and F6a both suitable to use for this conversion e.g. same turbos, inlet manifolds etc Note: I have the opportunity to use an F6a from a cappuccino or an F5a from an Alto works RSX
- What head gasket do I use (The original F8b head gasket)?
- What timing belt / tensioner do I use?
- Do the F8b pistons require pocketing to allow valve clearance / what pistons are best to use?
- What approximate BHP could I expect in a mild tuned state with this conversion?
Finally would the Suzuki alto works RSX 5 speed gearbox fit my hatch and be better suited for this conversion?
Thanks in advance for any help with the above questions.
