Hello
how do I tell what ratio my diff is . I have the centre out but cant see any numbers if there are any.

Count the teeth on the crown wheel, then count the teeth on the pinion.
Then divide the crown when by the pinion
EG 41 teeth on crown and 8 on pinion
41 divided x 8 = 5.125

Unless someone has swapped in lj80 (4.56) or lj50 (4.88) diff gears, (or 1.3 axle assemblies) yours will be 4.1, same as all sj40's.
