Hi jimny guru`s - it`s 34 deg today which has put a nice kick up the ass to sort out my AC compressor has been ceased for way too long.

QUESTIONS....

1. Second hand option.... is the 95201-77GA0 compressor found in other cars other than Jimny as every Suzuki wrecker I`ve called doesn`t have any.
2. Aftermarket cheapest I can find in Aus is $595 = delivery.....anyone purchased one cheaper??
3. Is there a substitute option...say common, cheaper, larger that can perform better & be retro fitted.

Appreciate any advice feeback......p`s my Jimny is also black...I`m dying haha!!

a larger more powerful compressor will cut in and out more frequently, sapping engine power more dramatically before switching off. it will be underworked, and wont be suited to the high standard/ average RPM of the jimny engine.
stock jimny compressors are the go, and i have do nramas with mine. i would replace like for like. it also dosent hamper your resale value.

i would recommend calling round more wreckers or aircon shops / auto leckies to see what they have first.

Yeah Jezza they are good points you make re: a different compressor.

Anyone now if the Jimny std compressors happen to also be in other zooks such as Vitara`s?

can you get it rebuilt? I know other types of cars can get kits through them or is it beyond repair?

There are a few Jimnys being parted out on the Jimny owners of Australia page on facebook. Might be an avenue worth exploring?
