yeh these ones are injection moulded. who knows mabie with the fitment info i can provide and a bulk order we couldget a special price. that might be 10 different looking jimmy's at least.

thing is its still not a functional mod. its for looks end of the day. and for what i spent on these i could buy a CAP locker.

they failed to open up the arches anymore, would have been good if they'd allowed for a bit more of a guard chop especially around the back of the front arch & the shapes a bit mongoliod, if they protruded a bit like the bushwanker flare & had less flat area similar to what's left on the bumper & reprofiled the arch opening.

plus they look like they were made on a 40* day, so close yet so far away.

there is always the option to go for Japanese flares. They do have way more opening in the wheel arch.

the only thing is as they are made for NT jimnys, you might need to trim and remove the inner metal guard of the jimmy. so pretty much would end up doing the "big jimmy" chop, but with aftermarket flares instead of the original chopped

thanks atari - thats what we need

chopping involved in the japanese flares turns me off a bit. I think someone on here has gone to the effort of getting the flares, but they got the nt jimny guards aswell. One thing I noticed about the japanese flares is they don't really open up the guards too much anyway

as in this picture

Okay second image wasn't necessary, but that is the MOST HILLARIOUS jimny I have ever seen

I do think jap flares open more the wheel arch. We had another tread about it talking with some pics I can't find

but they dot look like, but thats it because remember they are fitted to a NT jimmy.... and I do believe that NT jimnys have a bigger wheel arch than the WT ones.

If you remove the flares of our jimnys and remove the inver metal guards, you will end up with the same wheel arch as the NT jimnys.. in other words a bigger one. Hence why ppl do the "big jimmy chop" as there is more room in there under all that plastic.

I dont think suzuki had created two full different molds for jimnys bodies. Specially on the rear which is the whole car.... hence why in the rear we have an extra metal guard in top of the body. Instead of the front where it is part of the full quarter panel

I see your point bertzook - I fell for the optical delusion. our rear end is the same, its those front mud guards the ruin it.

still the Japanese ones aren't cheap with the freight - one day someone will come up with a good bolt on option, but I've given up holding my breath for it to happen.

They appear to make the wheel opening smaller, kind of the opposite of what you'd want, yeah?
