hi all
im new to this whole forum thing and it is the first one ive joined aswell and has already proved very useful thanks to everyone on it. some of the info is incredible. anyway the reason for the my post is, i have a 1992 2dr hardtop suzuki sierra (G13B 1298cc SOHC) and i have carby issues. motor has been fully rebuild and had bigger 272 torquer cam put in and went .040 oversize bore. (fully rebuild engine). i also put a weber 38 DGES outlaw carby on it but i have a flat spot (like its over fuelling) at about 2000rpm give or take... Im just wondering if anybody else has had this issue or if anybody can shed any light on the issue for me. im looking at a rejetting kit but cant seem to find a downgrade for it.ive spent a little while on searching this forum for a thread on the issue but cant seem to find one and or anyone with this issue. i plan on keeping the motor for a while and understand g16 is the way to go but i like to start from the bottom, understand and move my way up from there.

When i had a weber it was tuned and rejetted by a motorsports / carby specialist who also used an exhaust probe etc to check his work. Other than the weber flooding issue (hills) it worked great.

I'd suggest finding someone who can do it for you =)

did you have a weber 38 or a 32/36?
i have been to a carby specialist here in perth and they have said i need to downsize in the jetting... am looking at getting a custom jetting kit from top end performance in the US for $154us.

mine was 32/36 DGAV (Manual choke)

I went to a bloke in balcatta, near the 7 mile inn. Dont think he's there anymore? But he did drag cars and the like and was an expert on them.

yeah from what i have gathered there is very few people in perth that can tune carby well these days. i got my advice from performance carb tuning(wayne). so i have confidence in what he has told me so i think ill just tinker around with the 38 and buy a jetting kit and go from there. thanks for your help mate
