Hey guys, I'm new to 4WD and to my car

I have a 2010 3 door Grand Vitara and I take it off-road frequently.
I just got new tires put on it (225/R70/16) 697 duelers put on it and I took it to a local place to see how the tires went but the exhaust got hit out of the rubber mounts it has.
Now I've had this problem before with the stock exhaust and have installed a smaller one and it's the smaller one that still gets hit.

Just want your opinions, has this happened to you? How did you get around it?
I'm thinking one of the following;
1) Bash plate to protect it
2) Suspension lift kit
3) Body lift kit

I cannot see any different mounts to replace the rubber ones that I have on there currently that will do any better for what I've got.

The NGV doesn't have a separate chassis so you can't fit a body lift, and that won't lift the exhaust anyway. Maximum safe suspension lift is 35mm due to the front suspension design, so that's not making much difference.

Find a very good custom exhaust shop - somewhere that does race cars/rally/hotrods and talk through your needs. Regardless, sooner or later you'll always drag the exhaust on something.

Cadders , i think i may of worked on your car before ? .. not many 3 door jb vitaras around with aftermarket rear muffler.

You could get the hanger replaced with hangers that bolt the mount on and get a fibre reinforced rubber mount installed , Any decent exhaust shot should be able to sort you out. Are you Gold Coast region ?

Where did you get the exhaust work done previously?
