Hi fellas, I'm looking for some help with getting a kit or new brake master cylinder. I'm seeing a weep down the booster so I'm guessing it's going to let me down soon. I've rang around and I'm being told I can't get a kit for my 05 Jimny, I need to replace the unit. Repco said they can't get a new master cylinder either. Do I have to buy genuine Suzuki? It has 7/8 Aisin on the side of it but I can't find much online either. Please help. Brad

Personally I would buy new genuine or second hand genuine over buying a kit, even if one was available.

I was quoted over $300 for a non genuine Master cylinder from a brake and clutch shop.

That's ridiculous. I didn't pay that for a genuine Mercedes Gwagen MC.
If it was my car I'd put a forester MC in it from a pull-it-yourself wrecker, (something like $40 with a warranty) but I'm not necessarily advocating that for you.

Don't know where you live but there's companies about that can bore your existing master cylinder out and insert a stainless steel sleeve. They usually don't have the exact kits in stock as such, but they will invariably have a stock of all the various sized cups and seals that will fit your parts Original part = no worries with legalities or fit They don't usually advertise because they mostly service the workshop trade. Up here in Brissy BHSS is one of the go to's for that work See how you go, hope that helps

Thats bloody amazing that ebay user has uncannily picked the same username as you have here !!!
That is a good price though and probably the best solution apart from buying a new genuine one.
