Hi all, so I have a sj70 soft top and am looking for a set of play wheels and tyres (only to use on weekends etc. already have a set of at's for day to day use) a guy has a set of 15x8 -25 steelies. I'm wanting to run 30 inch muddies, just wondering if that offset will look stupid on my Sierra or not? Does anyone have pics of something similar so I can see what it will look like? I'm a complete n00b, thanks.

15x8 is too wide for a 9.5" tyre. You're better off sourcing some 15x7's.

For what it's worth, I run 15x7 -38mm offset with 31s and it LOOKS cool in my opinion =)

Lift doesn't fit tyres.

Pics in my build thread. No body lift, saggy stock springs. 25mm bumpstop spacing.

sorry, yes, body lift can help fit tyres. However, the people replying in this thread don't have a body lift and you weren't specific about what sort of lift.

The "how much lift do I need to run X tyre" is repeated infinitely. The answer is always none. Any tyre you can run on a car with rego/a body/half a chance of driving on the road (so therefore anything <about 36") can be run with no lift at all - it's just a matter of how much work you're willing to do and how obsessive you are about stability.
